| Starting Stitch |
| 1. This stitch is extremely hard to start therefore we highly recommend using a pencil to begin with. |
2. Place two strands next to the pencil horizontally (blue and red) and the other two (black and white) vertically under the pencil and the other two strands. |
3. Tie the black and white scoubi strands in a knot around the pencil and the other two scoubidous. |
| 4. Turn the pencil upright and pick up the blue scoubidou closest to you and flip it to the other side. |
5. Then grab the other end of the blue scoubidou and flip it towards you so the loops sit next to each other. |
6. Then pick up the red scooby dou closest to you and again, flip it to the other side. |
| 7. Now grab the other end of the red scooby and flip it towards you so you have four loops. |
8. Secure the loops by pinching with your thumb, then pick up the left scoubi string next to you (white) and take it over the first loop, under the second, over the third and finally over the fourth. |
9. Then pick up the right scoubidou closest to you (black) and take it over the first loop, under the second, over the third and under the fourth.
10. Now pick up the other scoubidou on the left side (black) and do exactly the same; over, under, over, under.
11. And finally, take the last scooby string on the right (white) and do the same; over, under, over, under. |
12. Grab all the strands however you can and pull very tight. |
| 13. Make sure they are secure against the pencil. |
14. Remove the knot on the pencil, your first stitch should look something like this. |
15. Turn the stitch over and notice the two loops formed by the pencil, these can be used to attatch the project to a keyring. |
Main Body |
| 16. Take one of the scoubidou ends closest to you (we've used blue) and flip it over to the other side to create your first loop. |
17. Then pick up the other end of that scoubidou and flip it towards you, creating a second loop. |
18. Then pick up the other scoubidou closest to you (red) and flip it over to the other side creating a third loop. |
| 19. Then pick up the other end of the red scoubidou and flip it towards you. You should now have four loops. |
20. Pick up the strand on the right, closest to you (white). Take it over the first loop, under the second, over the third and under the fourth. |
21. Grab the scoubidou on the left, closest to you (black). Take it over the first loop, under the second, over the third and under the fourth. |
| 22. Now pick up the other right scoubidou (black) and do the same; over, under, over, under. |
23. Finally take the last scoubidou on the left (white) and repeat again. |
24. Grab the strands however you can and pull them tight. |
| 25. Keep pulling until you end up with a neat square shaped knot, as shown in the picture. |
26. After a number of stitches, the Quad Stitch should look something like this. |
Completion Stitch |
| 27. Create one more Quad Stitch, but leave it loose this time. |
28. Take any one of your scoubi strands and take it under the strand to its left then up through the centre of the stitch. |
29. Repeat this with the other seven strands. |
| 30. Until the knot looks like this. |
31. Pull the strands very tight. |
32. Until the knot is secure and wont unravel. |
| 33. Don't forget to carefully snip off the ends using a pair of scissors. |
| 34. When you have finished, the project should look like this. We have inserted a keyring. |
